Bio

Jani Hirvonen is an award-winning leader, elite athlete, and Global Tech Leader at Google, operating at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and high-performance execution for over two decades. He currently leads Global Search Partnerships and has been recognised with seven Gold and Platinum Awards for his leadership impact within the organisation.


With a 16-year background as a world-class Taekwondo athlete, Jani’s leadership philosophy is deeply rooted in discipline, resilience, and continuous improvement. He continues his pursuit of peak performance as a two-time IRONMAN All World Gold Athlete, translating athletic rigor into corporate excellence. His approach to leadership is captured in his book, The Disciplined Executive, along with his work as an executive coach and strategic advisor.


Jani holds three Master’s degrees in Business, Law, and Political Science, alongside certifications from MIT, Stanford, and Wharton. He is also an NACD Certified Director and a member of the Forbes Business Development Council and Fast Company Executive Board. His contributions to leadership and governance have earned global recognition, including the Stevie®, Globee®, and Global Recognition Awards.


Beyond the corporate world, Jani has played a significant role in global non-profit leadership through Junior Chamber International (JCI), where he became the first non-Irish National President of JCI Ireland. He was later awarded lifetime Honorary Membership as a JCI Senator in recognition of his service and impact on leadership development worldwide.
