Shikha Goel, IPS (1994 Batch), is a distinguished Indian police leader with over three decades of service in national security, women’s safety, cyber resilience, anti-corruption, and governance reform. An alumna of Miranda House, University of Delhi, she holds postgraduate and M.Phil qualifications in Botany, along with advanced training in public policy and mediation.

Her career reflects a powerful combination of operational excellence, strategic leadership, and public service across diverse and challenging environments, including militancy-affected regions of Jammu & Kashmir and Naxal-affected areas. Over the years, she has held several significant leadership roles across law enforcement, CID, anti-corruption operations, forensic sciences, and cyber security.

Shikha has been instrumental in strengthening public trust through citizen-focused initiatives, particularly in the area of women’s safety. Under her leadership, programs such as SHE Teams, Bharosa Centres, and T-Safe became impactful models that were later replicated across the country.

Currently serving as Director General, Vigilance & Enforcement, and Ex-Officio Principal Secretary, Telangana, she also heads the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, where she has led pioneering cybercrime prevention and recovery initiatives benefiting thousands of citizens and strengthening digital governance frameworks.

A recipient of the President’s Police Medal and several prestigious honours, Shikha Goel is widely respected for her integrity, innovation, and transformative leadership in public service.
