Melissa Clark serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Primera Engineers, Ltd., a Chicago-based engineering design and consulting firm with more than 370 professionals nationwide. As a member of the Executive Management Team, she leads the company’s accounting and finance operations while contributing to strategic planning, operational growth, and organizational resilience.


Since joining Primera in 2015, Melissa has played a pivotal role in driving financial transformation and long-term business expansion. Her leadership has guided initiatives including the transition to a nearly paperless finance function, implementation of key enterprise systems, establishment of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and strategic acquisitions that broadened the company’s geographic presence. She is recognized for combining financial discipline with people-centered leadership, helping organizations navigate growth and uncertainty while maintaining transparency, accountability, and trust.


Melissa is also deeply engaged in industry and community leadership. She serves in advisory and leadership roles across several professional and nonprofit organizations focused on leadership development, financial excellence, and social impact. In 2024–2025, she co-chaired the Youth Guidance Gala, contributing to fundraising efforts supporting youth programs across Chicago.
