Bio
Yeo Shi Yuan’s professional path has been shaped by environments where judgment carries consequence. He began his career in the Singapore Police Force before moving into corporate law. As a corporate legal counsel with a Certificate in Compliance from the International Compliance Association (ICA), he brings experience in legal advisory, risk mitigation, compliance and governance across public, regional and multinational business environments.
Today, he serves as Head of Legal for FUJIFILM Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., FUJIFILM Healthcare Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., and FUJIFILM Electronic Materials (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. In addition, he provides legal guidance and compliance support across subsidiaries in the Asia-Pacific region and works with local legal and compliance teams to ensure regional expectations are implemented in a timely and practical manner.
Alongside leadership responsibilities, he continues to handle corporate, commercial and complex transactions, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on matters where legal interpretation must align with operational realities, calibrating risk appetite while enabling business expansion and commercial growth. His work focuses on helping to shape defensible decisions where regulation, business practicality and human judgement intersect.
He focuses on risk clarity rather than risk avoidance. This involves understanding the business context, identifying the real exposure, and guiding stakeholders toward actions that remain reliable over time. While much of his work sits within formal corporate frameworks, he is often involved at stages where situations are still developing and structure is not yet fully defined, helping stakeholders stabilise direction before formal processes take shape.
He has received numerous awards, recognitions and commendations for service, leadership and professional excellence across public service and multinational corporate environments, including an international award in December 2025 for work as a corporate legal counsel. Alongside his corporate role, he contributes to broader professional dialogue, including co-authoring with global thought leaders such as Brian Tracy, Les Brown and Kerri Kasem.
He has been awarded the Honorary Doctor of Advanced Studies in International Law (Honoris Causa) by Universidad Azteca, conferred through institutional review in recognition of legal expertise, governance work and commitment to ethical compliance. He is currently undertaking the New South Wales (NSW) admission pathway to strengthen cross-jurisdictional legal capability.
