Bio
Stephen J Weiland founded and chaired three successful commercial software companies. He is a recognized authority on financial account billing and management. His expertise and services in the commercial account analysis arena have resulted in impressive fee reductions for over 500 of the Fortune 1,000 companies. In 2011, Steve was numbered among the “100 Most Influential People in Finance” by Treasury & Risk magazine.
Stephen holds a BS in Engineering Science and a BA in Fine Arts from Notre Dame University. These two disparate degrees make him one of the few remaining Renaissance men. He has been a featured speaker at the Association of Financial Professionals (AFP) annual conferences and numerous regional treasury management associations. He is a co-author of both the ANSI national and ISO international electronic message standards.
Stephen is the morally stable recipient of seventeen years of Christian education. He is the proud father of three sons, all of whom earn their own living - not bad. Stephen has lived in and cherished the greater Chicagoland area all of his life. That makes him a Midwestern fly over guy.
Since retirement he has become active in philanthropic efforts, political and PC analysis, and a strong supporter of the Cristo Rey and Josephinum Academy college prep schools. In his spare time he sings, writes prose, and a bit of poetry.
He is the author of five published books, available on Amazon, addressing a variety of topics. When asked what drives Steve, he replies “Because I want to produce the best possible systems available, to offer the best possible advice I can, and to have a lot of fun doing it.”
Personal Quote:
“My motivation is simple: I want to produce the best possible systems available, to offer the best possible advice I can, and to have a lot of fun doing it. -
Stephen J Weiland”
