Bio
Dr. Ash Pachauri is a global sustainability advocate, educator, and co-founder of the POP (Protect Our Planet) Movement, a youth-led initiative established in 2016 to transform knowledge into action. Over the past decade, the movement has grown into a global platform engaging young people, educators, mentors, and partners across more than 130 countries to address climate, health, sustainability, and social challenges.
A central focus of Dr. Pachauri's work is leadership development. Through a growing network of POP Mentors, the movement supports young people in developing the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to become changemakers in their communities. Under his leadership, the POP Movement has launched educational programs, youth leadership initiatives, international festivals, publications, and innovative tools designed to make climate action accessible and meaningful.
Among the movement's recent innovations is POPPix, an AI-powered climate and wellbeing mentor that combines climate literacy, emotional resilience, and personalized guidance. The organization is also developing the POP Museum for Climate Action, an immersive and interactive space designed to educate, inspire, and mobilize visitors through storytelling, technology, and youth-led solutions.
Dr. Pachauri is also helping advance PLANET-HEAL, a global platform dedicated to leadership, action, and networking in environmental transformation and health research. Alongside this work, he has championed a global walking initiative promoting health, peace, climate awareness, and community engagement.
Throughout his career, Dr. Pachauri has remained committed to one guiding belief: that the most powerful solution to the challenges facing humanity is empowered people, particularly young people, working together to create positive change.
