President & CEO, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries
Bio
Chad Audi is a transformational servant leader, humanitarian, and President & CEO of Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries (DRMM), one of America’s historic faith-based human service organizations. His leadership is grounded in a simple conviction: every person possesses God-given dignity, and meaningful leadership must create pathways for people to reclaim hope, purpose, and independence.
Under Chad’s leadership, DRMM has expanded its reach and strengthened innovative programs addressing homelessness, addiction and recovery, behavioral health, workforce development, housing instability, and other barriers confronting vulnerable individuals and families. Today, the organization serves thousands of people each day through an integrated continuum of care designed not merely to meet immediate needs, but to help transform lives.
Chad’s approach extends beyond traditional charity. He has championed programs that combine compassion with accountability, education, treatment, employment preparation, housing, and long-term self-sufficiency. His leadership philosophy asks organizations to see beyond a person’s present circumstances and recognize the potential of who that individual can become when given opportunity, support, and dignity.
His commitment to service is deeply personal. Having experienced adversity early in life, Chad learned that leadership is most meaningful when strength is used in service of others. That conviction continues to shape his work, his community engagement, and his vision for innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
For Chad, recognition is never the destination. The true measure of leadership is found in lives restored, families strengthened, hope renewed, and people empowered to write a new chapter in their own stories.
Personal Quote:
“Leadership is not measured by how many people follow you, but by how many lives rise because you chose to serve, believe, and lead. -
