Founder & CEO, fundsforNGOs
Bio
Sameer Zuhad is the Founder and CEO of fundsforNGOs, a global social enterprise committed to improving access to funding information, knowledge, and capacity-building resources for nonprofit organizations worldwide.
With an academic background in sociology, Sameer began his entrepreneurial journey in 2008 by creating an online resource to help NGOs discover funding opportunities more easily. What started as a focused information platform gradually developed into an international network serving nonprofit professionals, community organizations, social entrepreneurs, and development practitioners across the world.
Under his leadership, fundsforNGOs has grown into a widely accessed funding-information ecosystem, reaching more than one million users each month. Its services include grant and donor databases, funding alerts, training webinars, proposal-development resources, practical guides, eBooks, and digital tools designed to make institutional fundraising more accessible and efficient. The platform pays particular attention to organizations in developing countries, where limited access to timely funding intelligence can prevent promising ideas from receiving support.
In 2011, Sameer established FUNDSFORNGOS LLC in the United States, providing a formal foundation for the organization’s international growth. He subsequently developed a globally distributed team and expanded the enterprise through related platforms serving NGOs, individuals, companies, and professionals seeking funding and development opportunities.
Sameer’s work is guided by the belief that access to reliable information can help local organizations compete more effectively for resources and build sustainable solutions within their communities. His leadership approach emphasizes independence, responsible growth, practical innovation, and service to the social-impact sector.
Through fundsforNGOs, Sameer continues to bridge the information gap between global funding institutions and grassroots organizations, helping changemakers identify opportunities, strengthen their capabilities, and advance meaningful work in communities around the world.
