Racha Moukayed McClelland is a UAE-based insurance, governance and sustainable finance leader with almost 23 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Having built her career in Abu Dhabi, Racha has led across insurance broking, strategic client relationships, business development, governance, operational transformation and people leadership. Her journey has been shaped by a belief that sustainable business performance depends not only on financial results, but also on trust, strong governance, inclusive cultures and responsible leadership.

Over the years, Racha has worked with leading organisations across the UAE’s energy, financial services, government and private sectors, while becoming an active voice in the evolving conversation around climate resilience, sustainable finance and the energy transition.

She has contributed to and moderated regional and international forums addressing sustainable finance, climate and emerging risks, water security, energy transition and the role of insurance in enabling investment and economic resilience.

Her academic and professional development spans insurance, business, governance and sustainability. She holds an MBA, a Diploma in Insurance, qualifications in Corporate Governance and ESG Risk Management, and has completed Sustainable Finance Foundations through the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

Beyond business, Racha is passionate about developing people, advancing inclusion and creating opportunities for future leaders. She has championed initiatives supporting People of Determination, workplace culture, sustainability and community engagement.
