Mugunth Vaithylingam is an internationally recognized Chief Information Officer, systems leader, and digital transformation strategist whose career has been defined by building organizations that are more resilient, innovative, and human-centered.
As Chief Information Officer for the Clark County School District, the fifth-largest school district in the United States, he leads enterprise technology strategy supporting more than 300,000 students and 44,000 employees. His leadership spans cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, enterprise architecture, and governance, aligning technology with institutional strategy to improve outcomes at scale.
Previously serving as CIO at the College of Southern Nevada, Mugunth led one of higher education's most comprehensive digital transformations, modernizing enterprise systems, consolidating technology platforms, advancing cloud adoption, strengthening cybersecurity, and introducing AI-powered student services. His work has consistently demonstrated that technology is most impactful when integrated with leadership, culture, and purpose.
