Emmanuelle Toussaint is a seasoned executive and lawyer with over 30 years of leadership experience spanning both the private and public sectors. Widely recognized for her impact, she was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2021 by the Women’s Executive Network and has received multiple honors for her leadership, including Canada’s Clean50 Award in 2022 for her contributions to sustainable transportation and the Women in Transformation Award the same year.

Since January 2025, Ms. Toussaint has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Quebec Mining Association, where she is advancing an innovative, responsible mining industry aligned with the highest environmental, social, and governance standards. Under her leadership, the sector is being positioned as a key driver of economic development and a strategic contributor to the energy transition, supported by Québec’s abundance of critical and strategic minerals.

Previously, Ms. Toussaint held senior leadership roles including Vice President of Commercialization at Cleo Innovations, a subsidiary of Hydro-Québec, and Vice President of Legal, Regulatory, and Public Affairs at Prevost and Nova Bus within the Volvo Group. These roles strengthened her expertise in sustainable development, public policy, and transportation electrification.

Her career spans diverse sectors including manufacturing, medical technologies, aerospace, information technology, biotechnology, municipal services, and academia. She currently serves as a corporate director with the Conseil Patronal en Environnement and has held board positions with numerous national and international organizations.
