Bio
Col. Madhumita Dhall (Retd) is a highly respected Nursing Director and healthcare transformation leader with over 36 years of distinguished experience across military and civilian healthcare systems. She currently heads the nursing services at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (RGCIRC), Delhi, leading a dedicated workforce of more than 900 healthcare professionals.
An alumna of the College of Nursing, AFMC Pune, Col. Dhall served with distinction for 23 years in the Indian Military Nursing Service, where she held leadership roles in major Army hospitals and in challenging insurgency-affected regions of Jammu & Kashmir and the North East. One of the most defining moments of her career was her exceptional leadership during the 1998 Army ambush in Nagaland, where she managed unprecedented mass casualties with precision, resilience, and innovation.
Following her military service, she transitioned seamlessly into civilian healthcare administration, serving as Nursing Administrator at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, before assuming her current role at RGCIRC.
Col. Dhall is deeply committed to building an empowered, skilled, and future-ready nursing workforce. Her initiatives include launching nurse-led tumour board meetings and creating in-house certification programmes to promote continuous learning. Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including Health Care Personality of the Year (2022), Outstanding Leadership Award (2024), and Professional Women Achiever Award (2025). She is a Life Member of TNAI, Convenor of ISBMT (Nursing), and a recognised Patient Safety Champion, advocating globally for nursing excellence and leadership.
